Rooted Health
Because lasting health begins beneath the surface
You want to age well and stay fit, active and vibrant. But isn't poor health inevitable, and won't you face the same health problems as your parents?
Rooted Health helps you understand your health, make sense of your risks, and build habits that support a healthier future. Whether you want to take a proactive approach or address concerns that have already appeared, we’ll focus on what matters most to you.
Does this sound familiar?
You want to feel great now, and give yourself the best chance of staying well in the coming years.
Perhaps seeing a parent or family member struggle with their health has made you think about your future. You might be wondering how to support your own heart, brain or bone health, or reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes.
You have been told your cholesterol is high, your blood pressure is creeping up, or you have pre-diabetes.
Maybe you’ve gained weight, your energy isn’t what it used to be, or you simply don’t feel like yourself anymore.
Or perhaps you’re entering a new chapter, with more room to focus on yourself, and want the health and energy to make the most of it.
You’ve tried to make changes before, but life gets in the way.
You start with good intentions, then old habits creep back in.
And with so much conflicting advice online, it’s hard to know what really matters.
The good news..
You can take an active role in your future health
You don’t need another fad diet.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to know where to start.
Midlife is an important opportunity to influence your future health. For example, research shows that heart and brain health are closely connected, and that looking after your health now can significantly reduce your risk of dementia in later life.
Your future isn’t fixed. Whether you’re feeling well or already have health concerns, there are practical steps you can take now to support your health in the years ahead.
The Rooted Health Approach
Understand. Strengthen. Thrive.
Lasting health is shaped by how we eat, move, sleep, manage stress and connect with others; and the things that make those habits easier or harder to sustain.
Whether you want to stay well as you get older or improve your health now, the starting point is understanding what supports your health and what may be working against it.
If you’re already experiencing health problems, managing symptoms without addressing what’s driving them can be like mopping the floor while the tap is still running. Treating symptoms is often important, but if we never address the root causes, the problem doesn’t truly go away.
“Managing symptoms without addressing the underlying causes can be like mopping the floor while the tap is still running.”
The Rooted Health Approach brings together nutrition, lifestyle medicine and coaching to help you understand your health, strengthen it through practical changes that fit your life, and thrive in the years ahead.
Understand. Strengthen. Thrive.
Understand
We’ll explore your current health, medical and family history, lifestyle, and what you want for your future. I’ll help you make sense of how nutrition and the other pillars of lifestyle medicine influence your health, so you understand what matters most for you, and why.
Strengthen
Together, we’ll turn understanding into action. We’ll identify the changes that matter most for your health and goals, work out what can fit into your life, and tackle what gets in the way. You’ll have personalised advice and coaching to help you put those changes into practice.
Thrive
The goal is to have the health, energy and confidence to live the life you want. We’ll build on the changes you’ve made, so they become part of everyday life and support what matters to you – whether that’s staying active, exploring new interests or deciding what you want from your next chapter.
Lasting change has to work in real life. If you can’t imagine yourself still doing something in five years’ time, it’s probably not the right solution.

Dietitian • Lifestyle Medicine Professional • Positive Psychology Coach
I’m Claire Lynch, a Registered Dietitian, Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional and Positive Psychology Coach.
Like many people, I’ve experienced the challenge of balancing work, family and caring responsibilities while trying to make time for the things that help me stay healthy and happy.
Over the years, both professionally and personally, I’ve become fascinated by what helps people create lasting change – not just for a few weeks, but for life.
That’s why I created Rooted Health.
Health advice has become unnecessarily complicated. I like to make it simple.
I believe lasting health comes from understanding what’s really driving our choices, addressing the root causes of declining health, and creating changes that are realistic enough to become part of everyday life.
That’s what I’ll help you do.
